Greetings all,
It is with very sad heart that we have had to cancel this year's Wartime Village event due to the current virus outbreak. We would like to thank each and every one of our supporters who have helped out, displayed and come to visit us over the past 3 years. As many of you know and understand; This will be a hard time for the museum, as the Wartime Village event is a major boost to our income to keep the museum up and running. We hope you are all keeping yourselves and your families safe during these unprecedented times. We WILL be back, We WILL keep fighting to keep the museum open for all when we come out of the other side of this virus epidemic. We would ask that you all continue to support the Village museum when we reopen. Take care, Karl, Rodney & Kellie

We are EXTREMELY HAPPY to announce that The Wartime Village 1940's event will have the BBMF joining us with a Dakota flypast on both days Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th May.
Thank you to the RAF and the BBMF for supporting the Wartime Village event. Get the dates in your diaries and spread the word. Planning is well underway with lots of work going on behind the scenes at "The Village".
Bookings for Re-enactment groups to display at this year's event have now closed. We are pleased to say we now have 15 of the very best groups representing British, Commonwealth, American and Axis troops displaying at The Wartime Village as well as our amazing Victorian period farmhouse and the rest of the museum for visitors to enjoy. This year sees a change on the music front with Rachel Bea coming along to entertain you all for her first time at The Wartime Village. We are very grateful to Rachel for supporting the event and keeping us all entertained with music and songs from the war years. Please spread the word - This is a small event dedicated to history which helps to support and keep the Victorian Farm Museum open to the public throughout the year. We look forward to welcoming you all to our third year event which has grown from strength to strength. Please visit the web site for more details and get the dates in your diaries. www.thewartimevillage.weebly.com Mr Guy Newton - |
